Yes we get them here though I've not seen one in ages. They are traditionally shaped like a horn and made by wrapping the pastry round a cream horn mould.

No, I've not seem those for ages either, but then I don't buy cakes anymore. Didn't they sometimes have a squirt of strawberry jam inside, or am I thinking of something else? I could probably eat one if it had the proper creme patissiere inside, but not whipped cream. I loath whipped crime in anything.

Lamb steaks ( dinner)

Plus a few others

Yes. I only use the powder. I bought that piece specifically for that photo.

Turmeric is not used much in Thai cuisine; not in these parts anyway.
