Veganism is the practice of abstaining from the use of any product created by or obtained from any living creature.
Veganism is the practice of abstaining from the use of animal products, particularly in diet, and an associated philosophy that rejects the commodity status of animals. A follower of the diet or the philosophy is known as a vegan. Distinctions may be made between several categories of veganism. Dietary vegans refrain from consuming animal products, not only meat but also eggs, dairy products and other animal-derived substances. The term ethical vegan is often applied to those who not only follow a vegan diet but extend the philosophy into other areas of their lives, and oppose the use of animals for any purpose. Another term is environmental veganism, which refers to the avoidance of animal products on the premise that the industrial farming of animals is environmentally damaging and unsustainable. Interest in veganism increased in the 2010s, especially in the latter half. More vegan stores opened and vegan options became increasingly available in supermarkets and restaurants in many countries.
I made Veggie Pizza few days back. Prepared my dough and put it to rest for a couple of hours for the yeast to rise. During this time I cut the vegetables and turned on the stove. Baked my pizza for about 20 minutes at 350 degrees.

showed up after being AWOL for a while with a Vegan life style that he has adopted this year. I have asked what prompted this dietary change.
I know several of you are vegan or vegetarian.
Please excuse my ignorance.
I could NEVER be Vegan. Sorry. I at least need eggs...
3 Cheese Chili Cheese Fries ( All Vegan )
I went vegan in 2020. That is to say, I adopted a plant-based vegan diet. No meat, no dairy, no cheese, and no eggs. The vegan diet certainly puts a large "dent" into the old cookbook. So when I saw the Recipe Challenge ingredient was...
I'm looking for a tried and true recipe for something like a channa dhal especially the spice mix that goes in at the end. We used to have an Indian joint here that made the best ever. It never opened up again after the earthquakes here.
I've tried a few from the net but nothing I like...
I usually cook black beans in a spicy Mexican style sauce but wanted to try something different. Slow cooked beef in brown ale is a traditional British way to cook beef and here and I set about trying to re-create something of that deep and dark savoury taste in a vegan bean dish. Juniper and...
It really tastes a LOT better than the ingredients sound, because this all plays well together. (I mean, it "seems" bland, but really is not.)
I made mild adaptations to the following recipe (namely, the addition of celery, and the halving of the recipe. I also omitted the bay...
Yes...you knew I had to make a pizza during this challenge. So without further adieu, here is Black Bean Vegan Pizza.
1 vegan pizza crust
1/2 cup vegan sour cream
1/2 cup organic crushed tomatoes
1 cup organic black beans
1 tbsp crushed peppers
1 tbsp oregano
1/2 cup vegan...
Beautiful Bel Fiori radicchio adds a splash of drama to this salad but you could use any radicchio leaves you wish. The slight bitterness of the radicchio contrasts well with the creamy mild beans. The vegan aioli is made with the liquid from a can of black beans. I love the pinky-mauve colour...
You could make this soup by substituting potato for parsnip, but I think that the parsnip adds a pleasing sweetness to the beans and works well with tarragon. Dried tarragon is fine to use here. Its a herb which retains its pungency. If you prefer a thick soup, simply use less stock or water...
