I found my fresh turmeric root at the local Asian market.

It tastes basically the same, but the fresh is more potent -- for better and for worse. I have no idea how much to use. I'll probably just add a little at a time until I can taste it, but it doesn't dominate. That will take some time.

This is a really tough ingredient -- definitely a "challenge."

Harissa - You have no doubt usually seen harissa in a much redder hue. This one is different from the traditional color because of some of the ingredients. I’m sure you can guess one of them, which is not usually part of harissa.

I'd never heard of Harissa. Thanks for the reference.
 
This is how I will enjoy my last two recipes together. Neither looks particularly special together, but together they sing. The harmony is beautiful. When I get done eating this, I will post both recipes.

The sauce you include is something that has been bewildering me when I consider my Robagusti Bread which uses Turmeric. I felt a need for some sort of condiment or dip for the bread - and I still haven't settled on what that will be. But I have time to consider.
