The mayonnaise and sandwich debate

The "Elvis" is weirdly very tasty. For scientific purposes, I made one at one point, and I was surprised how much I liked it. Elvis used to assemble his crew on a moment's notice to fly out of state, literally for that sandwich. He would pay thousands of dollars securing a pilot and gassing up his plane just to fly out of state to buy a 2 dollar sandwich. That is dedication!
And look where it got him ;)

But did he put mayonnaise on that? I didn't think so?

Wasn't it peanut butter and banana? Which, BTW also ends up quite greasy tasting when it's grilled IMHO.

I eat my peanut butter and banana sandwiches on fresh white bread preferably, though will dry toast the bread lightly if not perfectly fresh.
