After Saturday's record breakingly hot day (43.4°C), today was a mild 34°C ... but it still warranted another cold soup day.

Yesterday evening one of my friends turned 50 and had a high tea buffet . There was less choice than expected, but I pictured pumpkin soup, sandwiches with tuna & salmon, and a raspberry & white chocolate tart.
The savory sandwiches were the tastiest.

Went to our favorite Mexican place for lunch. Used some of the leftovers from lunch and from Saturdays dinner to snack on as dinner.
Spiced charred vegetables & tomato with balsamic reduction & kefir - this is one of those impromptu dishes made from leftovers. I always forget to write them up as recipes. This time I will write it up. Its simple but good.
