What did you cook or eat today (September 2025)?

The one I struggle with over here which has happened at the rugby club more than once is where one of them has driven to rugby fully intending to drive home but then they decide to stay and celebrate with everyone else.
It's common for cars to be left there overnight and for people to pick them up the next day.

So occasionally (not often) one of the players will realise they're worse for wear and completely physically spent so they go n lie down for a sleep in their car.
They have no intention of driving. They're just sleeping but if they have the keys technically they are in charge of the vehicle and so can be prosecuted.

I think that's pretty mean. If they started the engine then fine but knocking on the window, waking them up and asking where the keys are is low. That's not an isolated incident, it's something they do. Technically it might be a legitimate collar but morally I find it reprehensible.

Occasionally the players used to be warned if you want a sleep put the keys under your seat and if asked where they are do not produce them!
We would leave them under the car, on the ground. If the vehicle was searched you're still good.
